Board Game

First Board Game Idea

The first idea i had for my board game was based on a theme of pirates and ships. thus i created a board game called Parley where the objective of the game is to capture and sent all the enemy players to Jail.

A few brainstorming process allowed me to create a simple map where the players can follow the route to move around by rolling a die to determine how much space could the player move. Soon after i have to create simple rules of the game.

First Prototype

The whole class was told to create a prototype for our board game to see if the components needed are completed and to see if the game is actually playable. If its playable or not, we have to write a playtesting report to show the comments and feelings of players that playtest my game. changes will have to be made to make the game more interesting and players will be engrossed in playing the game til the end.
These origimi Ships are to represent each player's own ship by its colour

The Coins represents Treasure Coins and the paper with  "H" on it represent health for players

These are Ship Cards. It indicates how much Damage , Movement, Durability(health), that particular ship has.

These are Power Cards. It contains many different types of effects on the player. Good and Bad.

This is a Full View of what my Map looks like. the dashes on the map represent where players move their ships
Second Board Game Idea

when my first board game was presented to the lecturers, it received bad reviews as its mostly based on luck and too dice dependent. Thus it was considered at rejected game idea and had to make a better gameplay so its accepted. My second Idea doesn't require dice to play. its a turn based and strategic partly. The changes made are adding Movement cards instead of dice, change in battle sequence, and the map where players can roam freely to wherever they want. Now this is the finalized Board Game Idea, Parley.
